It has been brought to our attention that a fraudulent website isusing the above domain name purporting to belong to Bank of Cyprus UK. This is a clear attempt to commit Internet banking fraud, as well as being an abuse of intellectual property and copyright.
The website was set up for fraudulent purposes, one of which was to induce customers of the genuine bank to disclose their PINs and other security details.
This site not only attempting to obtain security informtaion from indiviuduals but is also part of a wider scheme to induce individuals to invest money and assist with the transfer of large deposits.
The address associated with this fraud is:
www.bocweb.co.uk [edit: fixed typo - Capt. Igloo]
Please see http://whois.domaintools.com/bocweb.co.uk for the WHOIS information.
The host has been contacted with requests to take down the website and deactivate the domain name but the site is still active.
How can I bring it down?? |

CI, maria made a typo of the URL in the first post, the domain name in the thread title is -unfortunately- still active. |
