Hi, I've been hanging out at 419eater for a while, and have just started really getting involved in trying to halt the spread.

Thing is, whilst I'm convinced that the baiting helps, I have a lot of skills (computer programmer for 14 years, etc) that I feel I'm not effectively utilising in preventing 419 fraud.

Is there anything I can do to help Scampatrol and get involved more directly?

Really, really want to sort these guys out.

Lol - already leave Mugu Marauder running overnight - not that my stats ever register!

I was mostly wondering if there was anything I could do for scampatrol.

Hi

MM and LV are great to run, but they won't actually kill the bank. What Jez was referring to was writing abuse letters to the hosters of the banksite and getting the fraudulent website closed down, permanently.
There's a thread devoted to it on Eater and AA419 is where the database for the banks is maintained.

Hi jonny, and welcome here.

At the moment we actually don't have any programming needs, but thanks for your offer, i'll keep it in mind if anything interesting comes up!

Apart from helping in the finding and killing of fake banks on aa419.org, you can generally help in raising awareness by telling people about 419 scams etc.

Check out this post at AA419. Seems they could use someone experienced with programming.
