Dear Maria Sanchez,

I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Coporation (NNPC),the major prospector and exporter of Nigeria's petroleum products and a member of it's foreign contracts tender committee.

I have been assigned by my colleagues to seek for an honest foreign national who will assist us in transferring the above stated sum, which arise from an inflated contract awarded by my committee on behalf of my coporation to some foreign firms.

The money $25.5M has been approved for payment by this Coporation NNPC,the Federal Ministry of Finance (endorsed by the Accountant General of the Federation) and to be paid by the Central Bank of Nigeria under contract number, NNPC/FGN/FMF/CBN/02/99.


The original value of the above contracts were intentionally inflated by us (Members of the foreign contract tender committee) to the tone of twenty five million,five hundred thousand united states dollars only(U S $25.5). Now that all the contractors have been paid, following the completion and commissioning of their various contracts. We want to transfer this inflated sum to a functional,save and trusted bank account, Hence i am contacting you on behalf of my colleagues.

We need your assistance for two main reasons, (1 ) As Government employees we are not permitted by Nigerian laws to operate foreign based accounts. (2 ) Since these contracts were executed by foreign firms we also need a foreign company to act as the beneficiary for purpose of transferring this money out of Nigeria.

Members of my committee and i have unanimously agreed to compensate you with any percentage agreed by both parties for the expected assistance and service. We have also agreed to set aside 10% of the total sum for any expenses that both side might incure during the cause of the transaction.

The nature of your company's business is irrelevant as far as this transaction is conerned.

While promising you a quick and trouble-free transfer of this money into your account,I want to inform you that this is a sensitive transaction which must not be made known to any other party than two of us. This is very important as this deal involves some high-ranking Nigerian Government functionaries who would not want to beinvolved in a scandal should this deal be made open.

Please, contact me for detailed information of this transaction. Even if you want us to meet before starting up this transaction it is also acceptable by me. This transaction is real and legal but i do not know anybody out side Nigeria. Please try and assist and you will not regret it. I am giving you every assurance.
