Hi svenby,
This sounds like a very common 'dating' scam. The male scammer pretends to be a woman and tricks men into sending money for a plane ticket to visit them. They'll then ask for more and more money for a visa, legal fees etc.
I would strongly advise against sending money to anyone you meet using yahoo messenger as the odds are that they are a scammer. |

I'm currently working with a victim who lost $1000 to someone using exactly this scam. They're now trying to raise another $7000 from him to finance her trip over here, but now he knows better.
Oh -- and he met her on Yahoo Messenger!
That's about as safe as meeting chicks at the free clinic. _________________ We have the tools to take care of 419 scammers. There is very little that cannot be accomplished with a hot screwdriver and a pair of pliers. |
