I have been contacted by George Dede, real estate agent about some property. He said that his client is General Victor Malu, to whom I spoke quite extensively.
I was then told by Victor to work out the details with his lawyer, a Martins C. Williams.
Martins scheduled a meeting in Madrid, Spain and gave me a contact's name at Euro Finance & Storage Company. Mr. Malu has given a directive to disburse some funds to me at that time.
What do you think of this setup? |

I think it is a scam, but we need more information. Telephone numbers and addresses would be a start, plus the original e-mail and any other details you may have of the General and his cronies.

The name "Euro Finance & Storage Company" is already well documented for its use within fraud scams. It has been recorded within the Fake Sites and Banks database at Artists against 419 on this link. A google search only returns its fraudulent lottery associations, so I would definitely say that it is a scam. _________________

I have dealt with a scammer using the name Martins Williams before now. Its probably not the same scammer but it is a popular name for them to use. |

This sounds like a scam group with which I am familiar. |

I believe the point was that he's claims to be a real-estate agent.
That doesn't necessarily mean that he's a REAL real-estate agent...

I think the confusion has come from the fact that Scam-Patroller is from the UK like me. Here real estate is not known as real estate and referred to as property. The people who sell it are estate agents with no real proceeding it.
No harm done. Just a misunderstanding. |

As Q said, in the U.S. 'real estate' refers to the physical property, as opposed to 'estate', which refers to your total net value. Somone who helps you buy/sell a house is called a 'real estate agent' (or sometimes, a 'realtor'). |
